Surprisingly, the eucaplypti, albizia, sisal and yucca
growing here give the impression that one is on the Riveria
- a welcome which is more Mediterranean than Provencal...
We advance towards the large, arched door which seems
to offer protection to the rest of the property. A majestic
120 year-old plane tree welcomes us. It offers its shade
to refresh and cool the gravel-covered Southern courtyard.
This magnificent tree shelters a long, wrought-iron table
and turn-of-the-century German guinguette chairs
(restored by an antique dealer from Isle-sur-le-Sorge)
awaiting its guests for a "lunch in the shade" or
a "candle-lit dinner".
A lovely Provencal fountain offers melodic counterpoint
to the song of the cicadas, a reclining fig tree bows before
us and the fields of lavender lead our gaze to the variety
of plants climbing the pergola.
Enjoy the tranquility of the outdoor dining experience
that awaits you. |
